Needy and distressed families are being provided financial support by connecting them with government welfare schemes. In this connection, Mrs. Kuleshwari Sahu, a resident of Borai village in Durg district, has benefited from the National Family Assistance Scheme. The financial assistance of 20,000 rupees received under the scheme has provided support to her family during difficult times.
Mrs. Kuleshwari Sahu explained that her husband, the late Mr. Devsingh Sahu, passed away suddenly on July 18, 2025. The sudden loss of the family’s primary breadwinner left the family facing a financial crisis.
During this difficult time, the Gram Panchayat Borai informed Mrs. Sahu about the National Family Assistance Scheme. The Gram Panchayat Secretary reviewed the 2002-03 BPL survey list, confirming the family’s name was included. Following this, the necessary application and other formalities were completed to avail the scheme’s benefits.
After the process was completed, Mrs. Kuleshwari Sahu was provided financial assistance of 20,000 rupees under the National Family Assistance Scheme. This assistance provided financial support to the family during difficult circumstances. Mrs. Kuleshwari Sahu expressed her gratitude to the Gram Panchayat Borai and the Chhattisgarh government for providing the benefits of the scheme at a time of need.
