- Chief Secretary Reviews Progress of ‘Niyad-Nella-Nar’ and ‘Bastar Munne 2.0’ Initiatives
Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel conducted a detailed review of the state government’s ambitious programs, ‘Niyad-Nella-Nar 2.0’ and ‘Bastar Munne 2.0’, at the Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today. The initiatives aim to provide direct benefits to villagers in formerly Naxal-affected areas through 31 individual and 14 community-based schemes. ‘Niyad-Nella-Nar 2.0’ covers remote forest regions and formerly Naxal-affected areas across 10 districts: Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Kanker, Narayanpur, Bastar, Kondagaon, Gariaband, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, and Chhuikhadan.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the implementation of individual beneficiary-oriented schemes for families residing in the remote forest and formerly Naxal-affected villages of these 10 districts. These include the MGNREGA Job Card, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission (functional tap connections), ration cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, Swachh Bharat Mission, and Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Furthermore, the scope includes a total of 31 schemes, such as the Kisan Credit Card, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, individual forest rights titles, labor cards, National Rural Livelihood Mission, nutritional support, vaccination, soil health cards, mid-day meals, uniforms and textbooks for school students, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, various official certificates (caste, birth, marriage, residence, death, and EWS), voter ID cards, Janani Suraksha (maternal safety), pensions for the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, and the Ujjwala Yojana. Similarly, 14 community-level initiatives—encompassing essential infrastructure and services such as paved roads, electricity, drinking water, schools, Anganwadi centers, mobile towers, and banking facilities—are being implemented in a structured manner.

The Chief Secretary has directed departmental officials to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach all intended beneficiaries within the stipulated timeframe. Furthermore, he has instructed officials from all relevant departments to work in ‘mission mode’ through effective mutual coordination and synergy.
