The School of Engineering & Information Technology, MATS University, Raipur, inaugurated a Six Days Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) to be held from 19th-24th January 2026. sponsored by the AICTE–Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy on the theme “Smart Mobility and Intelligent Transport: Innovations and Applications of Unmanned Vehicles.”
The program commenced with an introductory address by Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Patel, Dean (R&D), Principal – MSEIT and FDP Coordinator, who highlighted the objectives and relevance of the FDP in the context of smart cities, unmanned systems, and intelligent transportation technologies.
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) K. P. Yadav, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, MATS University, who emphasized the importance of smart mobility solutions and encouraged participants to actively engage in research-oriented learning. Shri Gokulananda Panda, Registrar, MATS University, extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the FDP.
The first technical session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Bhumeshwar K. Patle, Professor, MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune, on Unmanned Systems in Smart City Mobility Infrastructure, followed by the second session by Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Patel on Integration of Robots, UAVs, and IoT in Smart Transport.
The University expressed gratitude to the Chief Patron, Shri Gajraj Pagariya, Chancellor, and Patron, Shri Priyesh Pagariya, for their constant guidance and support. The efforts of the FDP Coordinator Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Patel, Co-Coordinator Dr. Shree Ram Malani, and the faculty members of the School of Engineering & Information Technology were acknowledged for the successful organisation of the program.
