Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has taken immediate cognizance of the news related to drinking water problem in Cherajobala Basti of Mainpat area of Surguja district and has directed the district administration to take necessary action immediately. While going through the newspapers this morning, the Chief Minister took seriously the news published under the title “Forest dwellers are still dependent on contaminated water of Nala and Dhodhi” and called up Surguja Collector Shri Ajit Vasant and asked him to ensure immediate drinking water arrangement in the affected colony.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that people living in remote forest areas will not be deprived of basic amenities. He directed officials to immediately conduct a field inspection of the drinking water crisis in the Cherajobala settlement and take priority action to install hand pumps, provide alternative drinking water, and provide long-term solutions as needed.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is the top priority of the government to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also called for regular reviews of basic amenities such as drinking water, roads, health, and education in areas inhabited by Specially Backward Tribes.
