For Durgesh Yadav, a small farmer from Bijarwar village, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proven to be a major support. With limited agricultural land, managing farming expenses was challenging. He faced financial difficulties for seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural needs. Yadav explains that under the PM-KISAN scheme, he receives a deposit of 2,000 rupees (approximately $200,000) directly into his bank account every three months. This timely payment helps him purchase essential farming materials and reduces his financial burden.
Durgesh says that this scheme is benefiting not only him but also other farmers in the area. Regular financial assistance has increased farmers’ income and increased their enthusiasm for farming. He is now able to approach his farming activities with greater confidence and better planning. He expresses his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is a commendable initiative for farmers. This scheme is bringing positive changes in the lives of small and marginal farmers by providing them financial support and taking them forward towards becoming self-reliant.
