Zabua Se Sankalp Ka To Keep The Country Polio Free

  • Minister Ms. Bhuria launched National Pulse Polio Campaign
    targeting 2.13 lakh children

As part of the national resolution to keep the country polio free, Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuria launched the three-day ‘National Pulse Polio Abhiyan’ in Jhabua district on Sunday. Minister Ms. Bhuria, who was present as the chief guest at the program held at District Hospital Zhabua, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the district level phase of this nationwide campaign. On this occasion, he gave the message of awareness to the general public by giving two drops of anti-polio medicine to the children himself.

Ms. Bhuria, Minister of Women and Child Development outlined India’s historic success towards polio eradication. He said that our country has set an important example in front of the world in the direction of polio eradication, but to maintain this cycle of great success and safety, it is very important that every child of every generation gets a dose of anti-polio medicine on time. Minister Ms. Bhuria emphasized that children’s health and their safe future is the highest priority of our government. He passionately appealed to all the citizens and parents to take their children from 0 to 5 years to the polio booth and take the medicine and take their active participation in making this public welfare campaign a success.

Under this campaign launched by Minister Ms. Bhuria, a total target of 2,13,504 children between 0 to 5 years of age in Jhabua district has been set to 100 percent. Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Shri M.L. Chopra said that a strong network has been created at the ground level under which a total of 1,185 teams have been deployed in the district. These teams include 424 booth teams for dispensing medicine at designated centres, 610 door-to-door visiting teams to cover missing children, 44 transit teams active at bus stands, railway stations and major intersections and 07 mobile teams for remote and remote areas. Apart from this, special supervisory teams have also been constituted for effective monitoring of the entire campaign.
