- Strict instructions to schools and colleges for student safety and drug-free campus
The police administration in Bilaspur district has taken a major initiative to ensure student safety, road safety, and a complete drug-free educational campus. In this regard, a very important meeting was held at the city’s Chetna Bhavan, in which strict guidelines regarding safety and traffic rules were issued to the administrators of all schools and colleges in the district.

Student safety and road safety are interconnected. To keep students safe while traveling, it’s essential to follow traffic signals, use zebra crossings, and always wear helmets and seat belts. The meeting emphasized that student safety and providing a safe environment is a top priority for both the police and management.
- It is mandatory to follow the guidelines of the Supreme Court – ASP Ramgopal Kariyare
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Ramgopal Kariyare, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Bilaspur District, stated unequivocally that the Honorable Supreme Court’s guidelines regarding student safety must be strictly followed. He sternly warned that any negligence regarding student safety will not be tolerated.

In this special meeting organized by the traffic police, heads of educational institutions were given detailed information about new legal provisions, heavy fines, traffic rules, and all important aspects of safe driving. Traffic rules include stopping at red lights, slowing down at yellow lights, and proceeding safely only when the light turns green. Always look right, left, and then right again before crossing the street. Always use zebra crossings. Use the sidewalk when walking. Do not use mobile phones or earphones while walking.

Strict adherence to the rules set by the Supreme Court will be mandatory for the safety of students attending schools and colleges. Management was instructed to take concrete and effective steps to maintain a drug-free environment within and around educational institutions. Special emphasis was placed on regularly educating students about traffic rules and encouraging them to practice safe driving (such as mandatory use of helmets and seatbelts, and having a driver’s license).
A large number of members of the management committees, including Shitesh Jain, the district organizer of the National Service Scheme ( NSS ), program officers from various colleges and schools, and members of the management committees, attended this important meeting. At the end of the meeting, all the heads of institutions resolved to fully support the police administration in this campaign.
