- Meaningful discussions were held to enhance cooperation in the areas of education, health and nutrition, emphasis was laid on expanding services in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today visited Sathya Sai Gram, Muddenahalli in Karnataka and observed the holistic service model based on education, health, nutrition and human values. He met Sadguru Shri Madhusudan Sai, founder of One World One Family Mission and discussed in detail the possibilities of cooperation in expanding public welfare services in Chhattisgarh, especially in the areas of free health services, maternal and child health, nutrition and value-based education.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh lies not only in economic progress, but also in a healthy, educated, and cultured society. The state government is continuously working to ensure quality services reach the last person, placing education, health, and nutrition among the top priorities of good governance. He stated that the experience, innovation, and service spirit of philanthropic organizations can make public welfare efforts more effective. The Chief Minister particularly commended Sri Sathya Sai Sanjivani Hospital, Raipur, for giving new life to thousands of children through completely free pediatric cardiac surgery. Calling it an excellent example of humanity and service, he discussed the possibilities of expanding the hospital, establishing a Mother and Child Hospital, and expanding healthcare services in the future.
Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the closing session of the International Conference on Value-Based Education as the chief guest. More than 100 teachers and academics from approximately 25 countries participated in the conference. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that modern education should not only be a means of acquiring knowledge, but should also be the basis for character building, service, compassion, morality, and social responsibility. Only value-based education creates sensitive citizens and a strong nation.
The Chief Minister also visited the CySure Nutraceuticals unit, operated by the Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust. CySure Multi-Nutrient Health Mix is providing nutritional support to approximately 10 million children in 25 states and four union territories. Praising this initiative, the Chief Minister discussed the potential for further improving the nutritional levels of children in Chhattisgarh’s schools and Anganwadi centers through such innovations. Approximately 300 youth from Chhattisgarh have received nursing education and training here. The Chief Minister stated that this initiative is not only increasing employment opportunities for youth but also contributing significantly to the development of skilled health human resources motivated by a spirit of service.
Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed confidence that the collaboration between the Chhattisgarh Government and the One World One Family Mission will develop new possibilities in the areas of health, education and nutrition, and will further expand the scope of quality services to the poor, deprived and needy sections of society. He said that the government welcomes all such efforts that work to bring positive change in people’s lives through service, compassion and good governance.
