A confluence of faith and heritage at Pali Shiva Temple, a grand celebration of Somnath Swabhiman festival.

The Somnath Swabhiman Parv is being celebrated from January 8th to 11th, commemorating the thousandth anniversary of the first recorded attack on the Somnath Temple in 1026. In this context, a grand celebration of various religious and cultural programs was held at the ancient Shiva temple complex of archaeological significance, located in Pali town of Korba district. The atmosphere remained devotional and joyous throughout the day.

    The morning program began with Rudrabhishek. Mr. Ajay Jaiswal, President of the Pali Municipal Council, along with his wife, councilors, and prominent citizens of the city performed the ritualistic abhishekam of the Shivalinga, praying for the city’s prosperity and well-being. A large number of devotees were present on this occasion.

    After the Rudrabhishek, the national level program organized at Somnath Temple was broadcast live through the LED screen installed in the temple premises, which was watched with great enthusiasm by public representatives, social workers and citizens. In the discussion held after the broadcast, Nagar Panchayat President Mr. Ajay Jaiswal and Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal highlighted the historical importance, cultural heritage and national unity of Somnath through their speeches. In the evening session, the presentation of Shiva Bhajans by the local Bhajan Mandali filled the entire temple premises with devotion. Devotees experienced the spiritual atmosphere while enjoying the Bhajans.

    The entire program was successfully conducted by Mr. Vishal Motwani. Finally, the Chief Municipal Officer of Nagar Panchayat Pali expressed his gratitude to all present, public representatives, the Bhajan Mandali, and the organizing team. Held at the Pali Shiva Temple, this event re-emerged the city’s cultural and religious heritage and further strengthened the public’s faith in the Somnath Swabhiman festival.
