Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Mrs. Richa Sharma, said that it is the government’s top priority to ensure that common citizens have complete and clear information about the Vikasit Bharat Act. If people are aware of the rules before they come into effect, they will be able to take maximum and correct advantage of the schemes. The Additional Chief Secretary thoroughly reviewed the preparations for the Vikasit Bharat Act 2025, which will come into effect on July 1. She directed the officials to launch special awareness campaigns to disseminate information about the provisions and rules of this new Act to every person in society.

         Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Richa Sharma today held a high-level review meeting of various schemes operated under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department at the Development Commissioner’s Building in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. The meeting detailed the progress of the Central Government’s ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and other rural development works, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA).
     
The construction of Prime Minister’s Housing was praised .

       During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary expressed his happiness over the highest completion of houses and the rapid pace of construction in Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) as compared to other states in the country. He commended the departmental team for this excellent performance and directed that this pace of development be maintained so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of a pucca house. He reviewed the departmental schemes point by point and discussed in detail various aspects related to rural development and gave necessary guidelines to achieve the targets within the time limit.

         In this important review meeting, Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Shri Dharmesh Sahu, MNREGA Commissioner and Director (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rural) Shri Taran Prakash Sinha, Additional Development Commissioner Shri V.P. Tirkey along with other senior officers and technical experts of the department were present.
