The Dhamtari District Administration has launched a visionary initiative to equip youth with modern technology and make them globally competitive. Under the guidance of Collector Abinash Mishra, the entrance examination for the Artificial Intelligence Upskilling Course (AI Upskilling Course 2026) was successfully conducted. This innovative initiative aims to open new doors of employment for local youth by equipping them with skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills.
- Great enthusiasm among the youth
Students from various educational institutions in the district enthusiastically participated in this examination, held at the IT Building of PG College, Dhamtari. A total of 166 participants took part, including 107 offline and 59 online. This large participation of young people reflects the growing awareness of new technologies and digital literacy in the district.
- Global level training and skilling
The students selected through the exam will be trained by a reputed institute in Bangalore. This special program will provide the youth with practical knowledge of the skills that are currently in high demand in global industries. The selected students will further be linked to a special AI Skill Training Program. This training will be conducted by the reputed institute Learnijoy Bangalore, in which participants will be provided practical training in cutting-edge skills like AI Video Generation, Website Development, AI Agents Making, Automation Tools, Digital Productivity, Prompt Engineering and developing modern technology solutions.
- Initiatives focused on employment and entrepreneurship
The primary objective of this training is not just to impart bookish knowledge, but to equip youth for employment, internships, freelancing, and digital entrepreneurship. The training will be completely industry-oriented, enabling youth to take advantage of opportunities available nationally and internationally.

Collector Abinash Mishra expressed his delight at this initiative, saying, “The coming era belongs to AI and digital technology. Our effort is to provide timely, global-level skills to the youth of Dhamtari. This will not only enable them to obtain better employment but also become job creators through their own startups.” He further stated that the administration will continue to promote innovation, startup promotion, and technology-based employment programs in the future.

It’s worth noting that four students previously received internship opportunities through an AI workshop held at Yuva Fest, which inspired a large number of students to participate this time. This initiative by the district administration will prove to be a milestone in establishing Dhamtari as a hub of technological innovation and realizing the dream of Digital India.
