- On August 13, the Tiranga Yatra will pass through the remote areas of Sukma,
- spreading the message of patriotism, peace and development under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
On the occasion of Independence Day, ‘Bastar Tiranga Yatra 2026’ is being organised in Bastar region with the message of patriotism, peace and development. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest and District In-charge Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap will also participate in this Tiranga Yatra to be held in Sukma district on 13th August. The aim is
- to spread the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride among the people.
This Yatra, organised through motorcycles, will reach those villages and areas of Bastar, which were once affected by Naxal violence and are now moving forward on a new path of peace, security and development. Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the aim of this Yatra is to spread the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride among the people.
- The Yatra will reach remote areas of Sukma.
On August 13th, the Tiranga Yatra will travel through Chingavaram, Sukma, Errabor, Manikonta, Dornapal, Polampalli, Burkapal, Minpa-Tadmetla, Chintalnar, Jagargunda, Silger, and Tekalgudem, reaching Awapalli and Bijapur. The overnight halt will be in Bijapur.
- Bastar is now rapidly progressing towards trust, peace, and development.
The aim of the Yatra is to showcase the changing picture of Bastar to the world, to connect the youth with the mainstream of nation-building, and to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of the brave soldiers and civilians martyred in Naxal violence. The Yatra will convey the message that Bastar is now rapidly progressing towards trust, peace, and development. The message of respect for the tricolor and the Constitution will also be conveyed to remote areas.
- Women bikers will also participate.
Women bikers will have a special participation in the Bastar Tiranga Yatra. A large number of bikers will participate from each district. Women bikers will participate in the journey carrying the tricolor. Local youth, volunteer organizations, women’s groups, NCC, NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Scouts and Guides, and public representatives will also participate.
- Plantation will take place under the “One Tree in the Name of Martyrs” campaign.
During the tour, at each martyr’s site, as many trees will be planted as the number of martyrs. In addition, interactive programs will be organized with youth, students, and sports talent. People will also be made aware of drug addiction and cybersecurity.
