Chhattisgarh’s Animal Husbandry Development Minister, Shri Ramvichar Netam, attended a dairy farmers’ conference as the chief guest. The event was organized by the Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (Devbhog) at its Urla (Kumhari) plant in Durg district. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked that the Devbhog brand has become a symbol of quality and unwavering trust, establishing a distinct identity across the country through its purity. During the program, Minister Netam inaugurated a new canteen at the Urla dairy plant and inspected the facility’s various systems and operational processes.
- Launch of a Special Guide for Livestock Rearers
Minister Netam formally released special guidebooks prepared for livestock rearers, as well as Devbhog’s radio jingle, ringtone, and a motivational song. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government aims to steer the dairy sector in a new direction by making it self-reliant, modern, and competitive, thereby boosting the income of farmers and livestock rearers.
- Top Priority to the Interests of Milk Producers and Farmers
Minister Netam stated that networks for milk collection, processing, and marketing, along with technical services, are being rapidly expanded to make animal husbandry a robust source of livelihood. He instructed departmental officials to effectively implement dairy development action plans on the ground, prioritizing the interests of milk producers and farmers above all else. In line with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision, “Devbhog” will be established nationwide as a symbol of quality and trust. To achieve this, efforts are being made to further strengthen product quality, modern production systems, marketing networks, and farmer participation. This will lead to a continuous increase in the income, self-reliance, and prosperity of dairy farmers. Mr. Chandrakant Verma, Director of Veterinary Services; senior officials from the Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Milk Federation; representatives from the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB); and a large number of milk-producing farmers and women livestock rearers were present at the conference.
