Governor Shri Ramen Deka, during a special program held at Lok Bhavan today, interacted cordially with the girls of SOS Balika Grih, Mana. He also honored 75 citizens who have set an exemplary message of service to humanity by pledging to donate their organs and bodies. Encouraging the girls of the Balika Grih, the Governor said that they are the bright future of society and the nation. With education, discipline, self-confidence, and hard work, any milestone in life can be achieved. He urged the girls to never underestimate their dreams and to move forward by constantly learning.

  • Books provide lasting knowledge and the courage to move forward.

The Governor said that in today’s digital age, much of the information available on the internet changes over time, but the knowledge stored in books guides us for a long time. He advised the girls to develop the habit of reading books regularly. He emphasized the importance of reading biographies of successful personalities, saying that this provides an opportunity to understand how people have reached the pinnacle of success after arduous struggles and persistent efforts. Such inspiring stories provide courage and determination to move forward in life.

He urged the girls to always strive for work that is not driven by mere greed, but rather by a selfless spirit of helping others and contributing to the welfare of society. During the program, the Governor interacted directly with the girls and cordially answered their queries and questions. He presented stationery items to the girls, while the girls also expressed their affection by presenting self-made gifts to the Governor.

  • Balance between humans, animals and nature is essential

On this occasion, the Governor, while raising awareness about the environmental and water crisis, said that maintaining a balance between humans, animals, and nature is crucial. Trees play a crucial role in maintaining this balance, so it is our collective responsibility to protect trees and plant trees on a large scale.

Expressing concern, the Governor said, “We never imagined that one day we would have to buy water to drink. Therefore, water conservation and preservation are extremely important.” He warned that if we don’t protect trees today, Chhattisgarh could face a serious groundwater crisis in the next 25 years. Humans are polluting clean air and water, so it is also human responsibility to improve it.

  • Organ and body donation is the highest service to humanity.

Governor Deka said that increasing awareness about organ donation in society can give new life to many in need. Similarly, body donation plays a vital role in the field of medical education and research. He said that those who pledge to donate organs and bodies are true heroes of society. They should inspire others to do the same. This is the highest expression of sensitivity and humanity, which should be encouraged at every level.

  • 75 citizens and Raipur Collector were honored

In the program, the Governor honored 75 citizens who had pledged to donate their organs and bodies by presenting them with mementos. Along with this, Raipur District Collector Mr. Gaurav Singh was also specially honored for his excellent and remarkable work in this sacred field. In this prestigious program, Governor’s Secretary Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Legal Advisor Mrs. Satyabhama Dubey along with other senior officers and employees of Raj Bhavan, enlightened citizens who had pledged to donate their organs and bodies, girls from the girls’ home and their teachers were present.
