The Jal Jeevan Mission has brought water to every household in Larghaddi, transforming the lives of villagers.

The Jal Jeevan Mission has transformed rural life in Larghadandi, a village under the Dudhansi Gram Panchayat of Bharatpur district’s development block. Once a water crisis-ridden village, it is now emerging as an excellent example of regular water supply, water conservation, and community participation.
There was a time when villagers had to rely on hand pumps, wells, and rivers for every drop of water. Women and the elderly had to walk long distances to fetch water, consuming significant time and labor. However, with the effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission, this situation has completely changed.

Clean drinking water is being regularly provided in the village through a water source developed by the Public Health Engineering Department, a 10,000-liter water tank, and a motor-pump-based water supply system. Water is now reaching every household through pipelines, bringing great relief to the villagers.
The active role of the Village Water and Sanitation Committee and the participation of the villagers have further strengthened this transformation. Awareness about water conservation, sanitation, and hygiene has increased in the village, and collective efforts are being made to protect water resources.
Today, Larghadandi is not only a village blessed with drinking water, but has also become an inspiring model of rural development through water management and community cooperation. This success story of the Jal Jeevan Mission demonstrates that effective implementation of schemes and public participation can transform villages.
