Fisheries Committee gets modern fish nets on Good Governance Festival

  • ‘Government schemes are providing livelihood support to the needy’

Under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s initiative, “Good Governance Festival 2026,” public problem resolution camps are being organized regularly in Kondagaon district. Through these camps, the benefits of various government welfare schemes are being extended to needy beneficiaries. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is working sensitively to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the last person. These camps are proving to be an effective means of quickly resolving villagers’ problems and directly connecting them with government schemes.
In this context, at the public problem resolution camp held at the Community Hall, Kondagaon, the Fisheries Department distributed modern fishing nets to members of the DNK Fish Farming Cooperative Society Limited, Development Block Kondagaon. During the program, committee members Shri Prem Chand Rai and Shri Basant Samuel were provided with nets under the departmental scheme.
The beneficiaries explained that due to a lack of resources, they previously faced considerable difficulties in fishing, which also affected production. Now, with modern nets, fish harvesting can be done more easily and efficiently. This is expected to increase production and their income.
Fisheries Department officials stated that the government’s goal is to empower fish farmers by providing them with the necessary resources. The department periodically provides training, equipment, and financial assistance to increase employment and self-employment opportunities in rural areas and strengthen people’s livelihoods.
Through Good Governance Festival, government schemes are now reaching the last person. Villagers’ problems are being resolved on the spot in camps, and eligible beneficiaries are being benefited from various departmental schemes. This has also increased public trust in the government. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the district administration, stating that the government’s support has strengthened their livelihoods and they will be able to achieve better production in the future and become more economically empowered.
