Chhattisgarh Matikala Board Chairman, Mr. Shambhunath Chakraborty, took a sensitive initiative to help needy families in his native village of Ranpur, Jashpur district, by distributing voluntary grant checks of 10,000 rupees each to 11 beneficiaries. Jashpur Collector, Mr. Rohit Vyas, was also present on the occasion.
The financial assistance provided directly to the villagers, creating an atmosphere of relief and satisfaction among the benefited families. This voluntary grant is primarily intended to provide immediate assistance to needy individuals and families facing emergencies, serious illnesses, accidents, and financial crises.
Matikala Board Chairman, Mr. Chakraborty, stated that the government’s objective is to provide timely support to vulnerable and needy sections of society so they can face difficult situations with strength. He explained that voluntary grants are used for the treatment of serious illnesses, assistance to families affected by accidents, relief to poor families, and financial support to those suffering from incurable diseases.
He also informed that this amount can be used for small works related to community development, cultural programs, educational activities and sports events, which benefits various sections of the society.
Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas, while praising this initiative, said that this kind of aid amount acts as a lifeline for the needy. The intention of the government is that the deserving persons get help on time and they do not feel alone in the hour of crisis.
The villagers expressed their gratitude for this support and said that this timely financial aid has proved to be a big relief for them. SDM Bagicha Mr. Pradeep Rathiya, Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat, public representatives and a large number of local villagers were present in the program.
