Governor Shri Ramen Deka today attended the inauguration and felicitation ceremony organized at the Government Higher Secondary School located in Champa village of Balodabazar development block as the chief guest. On this occasion, he inaugurated the newly constructed auditorium of the school. Along with this, senior teachers, meritorious students of Classes 10 and 12, students selected in PAT (PAT), and 9 youths who secured employment under the ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ scheme were felicitated.
Passion and hard work are the key to success- Governor
Addressing the ceremony, Governor Shri Ramen Deka said that the newly constructed auditorium will promote cultural and knowledge-enhancing activities to hone the talents of students. Emphasizing the strengthening of teacher-student relationships, he said that teachers should become role models for students through their conduct. Giving a message to the students, he said that they should develop passion for achieving their goals and continuously work hard to turn them into reality. Referring to the New Education Policy, he said that this policy is helpful in skill development and gaining subject expertise.
- Balanced use of digital technology is essential
Expressing concern over the excessive use of mobile phones and social media, the Governor appealed to students to use technology only for necessary tasks. Social media and AI (AI) are certainly convenient, but their excessive use reduces introspection and creativity.
A historic and proud moment: Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma
Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma described the Governor’s arrival as historic for Champa village. Recalling his school days, he said that teachers not only impart education, but also instill a sense of responsibility towards society. He inspired students not to be afraid of failures and to continue working hard. Former Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal also addressed the programme.
On this occasion, the Governor planted an Amaltas sapling in the school premises in memory of his late mother Champawati Deka. The Revenue Minister and other public representatives also participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ tree plantation.
At the programme, the Governor inspected an exhibition of products put up by the livelihood sisters of the ‘Bihaan’ scheme. During this, the sisters tied a handmade rakhi made from paddy and rice seeds on him, which the Governor highly appreciated.
At the ceremony, teacher and educationists Shri S.M. Padhye, Dr. Nisha Jha, Dr. D.N. Rai, and Bhushan Dhurandhar as well astalented students Jigyasu Verma (12th State Topper), Sakshi Verma, Amit Kumar Tandon (10th), and PAT-selected Praveen Dahariya, Mamta Sahu and Mayank Verma were felicitated.
Public representatives, dignitaries and students were present at the programme.
