Sports Teach the Lesson of Struggling Until the Last Breath: Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manoj Dayal

Sports are not only a means of physical and mental well-being, but they also provide the courage to struggle until the very last moment and achieve victory even in the most adverse circumstances. This thought was expressed by Prof. Dr. Manoj Dayal, Vice-Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTU), Raipur, at the program organized on the occasion of National Sports Day.
​Addressing this special program organized on the university campus, Prof. Dayal said that through sports, values such as team spirit, leadership ability, patience, enthusiasm, positivity and mutual coordination are instilled in students. These qualities not only make the personality balanced and multifaceted, but also pave the way for living a stress-free life in today’s times.
​On the occasion of National Sports Day, the campus was abuzz with various traditional and innovative sports. Students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in competitions such as ‘Omkar Race’, ‘Kendra Kabaddi’, ‘Netaji Ki Pehchan’, ‘Mat Chooko Chauhan’, ‘Lion-Man-Gun’ and ‘Sudarshan Chakra’.
​Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayal, along with University Registrar Sunil Sharma, heads of various departments, professors, employees and a large number of students were present at the program. Everyone enthusiastically participated in various competitions while demonstrating sportsmanship.
