Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan has said that for Punyashloka, Lokmata, justice-loving ruler Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the welfare of her people was paramount. Her whole life was spent in struggles, but she never compromised with her principles and ideals, Devi Ahilyabai was a religious and justice-loving ruler, when it came to justice, she even punished her son. Minister Shri Devangan said that great personalities like Devi Ahilyabai always remain immortal, their body definitely dies but their great work, their glory story always remains alive.
Industry Minister Shri Dewangan expressed these views today during the 300th birth anniversary celebrations of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar organized by Municipal Corporation Korba. Municipal Corporation Korba organized the 300th birth anniversary celebrations of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar at Siyan Sadan located at Ghantaghar.
Addressing the function, Industry Minister Shri Devangan further said that due to the great works of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, even after 300 years, we are remembering her with full respect and dignity. Devi Ahilyabai kept the public interest at the highest place during her rule and she was determined to dedicate everything for the public. On this occasion, I pay my tribute to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. On this occasion, Industry Minister Shri Devangan said regarding the expansion of the Senior Citizens’ House that on the lines of “We have built it – we will improve it”, Senior Citizens’ House will definitely be expanded and facilities will be increased here. He said that respecting the wishes of the senior citizens of the House, AC facility has been provided in the Senior Citizens’ House. In future also, respecting the wishes of the senior citizens, Senior Citizens’ House will be expanded as per their wishes.
In her address, Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput said that Queen Ahilyabai looked after her subjects like her own children, she took full care of their happiness and sorrows. She said that Veerangna, Punyashloka, Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was such a daughter who fulfilled her father’s hopes, a wife who made her husband’s ideals the resolution of her life, a queen who saw her subjects as her children and a ruler who showed her enemies that affection and love makes a woman an embodiment of dedication. On this occasion, senior citizen Shri Rajesh Singh also addressed the function and remembered the great deeds of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.
