- Successful crackdown on several theft cases across the region, with vicious thieves arrested by police, including interstate gangs
Various districts of Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved remarkable success in last 6 days by taking effective action against property related crimes. During this time, 33 accused were arrested while recovering stolen property worth more than 70 lakhs. A number of inter-state and organized gangs were successfully exposed and theft cases were successfully disclosed.
- Major achievements
Guna Police busted 8 cases of chain theft and arrested 13 accused of 3 inter-state organized gangs. Police have recovered 11 gold key chains worth 21 lakh 20 thousand stolen keys through technical analysis, CCTV footage, informant technique and coordination of various states.
Bhopal GRP busted an inter-state gang involved in stealing trains and arrested 9 accused and recovered jewelery and other stolen property worth around 15 lakhs. This success was achieved on the basis of technical analysis, examination of more than 250 CCTV footages and intensive analysis.
However, in 24 hours, Shivpuri district police arrested 4 accused and arrested 4 accused and recovered stolen property worth about 11 lakh 60 thousand including a car in 24 hours.
Sendhwa Rural Police of Barwani District busted the stealing gang and arrested all the 5 vicious accused and recovered 100% stolen property worth 12 lakhs.
Kotwali police of Sehore district have successfully disclosed the theft in Digambar Jain temple and recovered the stolen property worth around 8 lakhs from the accused priest.
Khargone police arrested a vicious accused while revealing the incidents of theft in three houses in Khargone. Police recovered gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 2.40 lakh and cash of Rs 45 thousand from the accused and cleared the case successfully.
Effective control of property related crimes and strict action against criminals is being continuously taken by Madhya Pradesh Police. Through technical analysis, CCTV footage, informer techniques and inter-district and inter-state coordination, the cases of theft are being revealed promptly and the arrest of the accused and recovery of the stolen property is being ensured.
