Chhattisgarh’s Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam paid a courtesy visit to the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on September 28–29 during the national agriculture ministers’ conference, ‘Rabi Abhiyan 2026’. During the meeting, Union Agriculture Minister Shri Chouhan congratulated Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam and extended his best wishes, informing him that a second tranche of funds amounting to ₹181.99 crore had been released under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishi Unnati Yojana for the benefit of Chhattisgarh’s farmers and agricultural sector. It is noteworthy that the farmers of the state are achieving prosperity through the continuous efforts of Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam.
The ₹181.99 crore released to Chhattisgarh by the Government of India comprises ₹91.20 crore under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and ₹90.79 crore under the Krishi Unnati Yojana. This fund will accelerate various agriculture-related development works in the state and ensure benefits reach the farmers.
In his letter, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the Central Government is making continuous efforts to increase farmers’ income, strengthen the agricultural sector, and foster the holistic development of agriculture in collaboration with the states. He expressed confidence that the Chhattisgarh government would utilize these funds in a timely and effective manner to ensure maximum benefit reaches the state’s farmers.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for releasing these funds for Chhattisgarh’s agricultural development and the welfare of its farmers. He remarked that the coordinated efforts of the Central and State governments are imparting new momentum to the state’s agricultural sector. The funds received will be utilized to effectively advance agriculture-related development projects and ensure that farmers derive the maximum benefit from these schemes. It is noteworthy that a conference of Agriculture Ministers from across the country was held on September 28 and 29 under the ‘Rabi Campaign 2026’. Discussions at the conference focused on various issues related to the agricultural sector, schemes implemented for the welfare of farmers, and future strategies for agricultural development. In this context, Chhattisgarh’s Agriculture Minister, Shri Ramvichar Netam, held a courtesy meeting with the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
