Commissioner Mr. Abhishek Singh, Mr. K.K. Dwivedi, Ms. Kamna Acharya, Mr. Dharmendra Sharma, and other concerned officials were present at the meeting. The suggestions and points received from the employees’ union were seriously considered.
It was decided in the meeting that a clear and well-organized order will be issued soon regarding the TET examination of teachers, in which it will be determined in a classified and simplified manner as to for which teachers the examination will be compulsory and who will be given exemption or simplification as per the rules.
In this regard, the state government is in the process of obtaining the opinion of the government advocate regarding the case pending in the Honorable Supreme Court. Upon receipt of the opinion, a review petition will be submitted to the Honorable Supreme Court as needed.
Apart from this, instructions have been given to take necessary action in the cases of teachers who are eligible for salary hike and time scale pay scale and to issue orders soon, so that the benefits can be provided to the eligible teachers in a timely manner.
The department will provide full support to teachers regarding the TET exam. If the Honorable Supreme Court upholds its exam-related directives, training and syllabus-based guidance programs will be organized at the tehsil and block levels for teachers appearing in the exam, to facilitate their preparation.
It was also decided in the meeting that a consultative meeting will be held soon at the DPI level, in which detailed discussions will be held to resolve the pending problems at the headquarters and office level.
The School Education Department expressed hope that effective implementation of the above decisions would ensure prompt resolution of various pending problems faced by teachers and employees.
