- Swachhta Diwas was celebrated under the Sashakt MCB-Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, giving the message of cleanliness and service.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, a tribute program was organized today at the memorial located at Gandhi Chowk in Manendragarh. District in-charge and Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Municipal Council Manendragarh President Pratima Yadav, Vice President Dharmendra Patwa, former Parliamentary Secretary Champadevi Pawale, Collector Ms. Santan Devi Jangde and District Panchayat CEO Ankita Som paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding their memorials.
- Gandhi’s truth and non-violence and Shastri’s simple life were remembered.

On this occasion, Minister in-charge Ramvichar Netam remembered the contribution of both great personalities in nation building. He said that Mahatma Gandhi gave a new direction to the country through truth, non-violence, cleanliness and public service, while Lal Bahadur Shastri set an example of simplicity, dedication, honesty and service to the nation. Their life and thoughts are still a source of inspiration for the society and the nation.
He said that Gandhi Jayanti has special significance in respecting Gandhiji’s principles of truth and non-violence and spreading his thoughts to the people. Everyone should contribute to the development of society and the nation by adopting his ideals in their lives.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, under the Sashakt MCB-Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, the message of cleanliness and public participation was given through various activities as Swachhata Diwas. In the program, people were motivated to make cleanliness an integral part of daily life and to keep the environment around them clean. Superintendent of Police Ratna Singh, Additional Collector Namrata Dogre, SDM Lingaraj Sidar, Vijayendra Sarathi along with Tehsildar, Councilorgarh, public representatives and all district officials were present on this occasion.
