 ‘Pawas Prasanga’ to be adorned with the beautiful hues of the rainy season, classical dance and music performances from August 21 to 25

  • The Culture Department will organize a four-day special cultural program as part of the ‘Departmental Events 2026’ series. The Muktakashi stage will host a mesmerizing evening of art and music.

The Culture Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, is organizing a special cultural event, “Pavas Prasang,” as part of the “Departmental Events 2026” series, with the aim of bringing art, culture, and classical traditions to the masses. This event, centered on the aesthetic experiences of the rainy season and the Indian classical art tradition, will be held on August 21, 22, 24, and 25 at Muktakashhi Manch, Mahant Ghasidas Museum Complex, Civil Lines, Raipur. The event will begin at 7 p.m. each day.

In “Pavas Prasanga,” the natural beauty, excitement, joy, and emotions of the rainy season will be expressed through classical dance and music. The rainy season holds special significance in the Indian art tradition. Artists bring to life the rumbling of clouds, the drizzle of rain, the rejuvenation of nature, and the various emotions they awaken in the mind through their dance postures, expressions, and melodies. This rich cultural landscape will be presented to the audience through “Pavas Prasanga.”

This initiative by the Department of Culture aims to promote classical art forms and connect the public with high-level cultural performances. The Muktakashi stage will enhance these performances, providing audiences with captivating performances of Indian classical dance and music.

“Pavas Prasanga” is a special event centered on the cultural and artistic experience of the rainy season.
