- Masira gets new Anganwadi building from Vikasit Bharat Ji-Ram Ji
With the expansion of basic amenities in rural areas of Chhattisgarh, the foundation for a safe and better future for children is being strengthened. An inspiring example of this change is visible in the village panchayat Masira of Bhaiyathan development block of Surajpur district, where the new Anganwadi building constructed through the Vikasit Bharat Ji-Ram Ji Yojana has provided a safe, comfortable and learning-friendly environment for the children. The Anganwadi centre, which once operated in a mud house, is now bustling with the laughter of children and learning activities in its new building.
Mrs. Hiramani Rajwade, an Anganwadi worker from Masira, explains that the Anganwadi center previously operated in a mud house. During the rainy season, water leaking from the roof made it difficult to seat children and conduct educational activities. This also caused parents to worry about their children’s safety.
To address this problem at the Anganwadi center, the Anganwadi worker presented the need for a new Anganwadi building to the village head, Mr. Budhram Singh. The Gram Panchayat prepared a proposal and sent it to the administration. Under the guidance of Collector Mrs. Rena Jamil and the direction of District Panchayat CEO Mr. Vijendra Singh Patle, the administration took immediate action and constructed a new Anganwadi building under the Vikasit Bharat Ji-Ram Ji scheme.

After the construction of the new Anganwadi building, the landscape of the Anganwadi center has completely changed. Children now enjoy a safe environment, protected from rain, sun, and other weather disturbances. Child attendance at the Anganwadi center is 100%, and parents’ confidence has also increased.
Anganwadi centers provide children with primary education and playful learning activities. Along with providing nutritious meals, activities are also conducted to support children’s physical, mental, and social development.
