Registration and mutation completed instantly; Ajit Ram Sahu spared the hassle of repeated visits to the Tehsil office

  • Auto-mutation eliminates long waits and the trouble of frequent office visits, saving the farmer’s time
  • Benefits of technical improvements in registration services realized under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary; beneficiary shares his experience

The hassle of making repeated trips to the Tehsil office and enduring long waits for land mutation following registration is now being reduced thanks to a technology-driven system. Shri Ajit Ram Sahu from Janjgir-Champa district personally experienced this change. Previously, he had to visit the Tehsil office separately for mutation and wait for the process to conclude; this time, however, it was completed immediately after registration. The Registration Department’s auto-mutation facility not only relieved him of the burden of unnecessary office visits but also saved him time. He shared his experience while interacting with the Registration Department as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Resolution Campaign).

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of Finance and Registration Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, technology-based reforms have been implemented to make registration services simple, accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric. By integrating registration and mutation processes and introducing features like Aadhaar-based e-KYC, property-related tasks are being made much more convenient for citizens. To assess the impact of these reforms on the ground, the Registration Department is directly engaging with beneficiaries through the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to gather their experiences and suggestions.

  • Earlier, one had to wait for mutation; now, the task is completed alongside registration

Shri Ajit Ram Sahu mentioned that previously, after getting the land registered, he had to visit the Tehsil office separately to initiate the mutation process. Previously, completing the process took a long time, despite repeated visits to the office. This made it difficult to find time for farming and other essential tasks.

This time, thanks to the auto-mutation system, the mutation process was completed immediately after the property registration. Consequently, there was no need to make a separate trip to the Tehsil office or wait for the mutation to be processed. Mr. Sahu noted that this facility saved him time and made it easier to complete subsequent property-related tasks.

  • Auto-mutation Simplifies Registration and Mutation Processes

Under the auto-mutation system implemented by the Registration Department, the mutation process proceeds automatically following property registration. This has improved coordination between the registration and revenue departments. It has also reduced the need for citizens to submit separate applications for mutation or make repeated visits to the relevant offices.

Farmers and citizens in rural areas—who previously had to make multiple trips to Tehsil and revenue offices for land mutation—are particularly benefiting from this system. Linking the mutation process with registration now saves time and eliminates unnecessary running around.

  • Aadhaar-based e-KYC Enhances Transparency in Registration

The use of technology in the registration system extends beyond just mutation. The identities of buyers, sellers, and witnesses are being verified through Aadhaar-based e-KYC. This not only streamlines the identity verification process but also helps minimize the risk of registration based on false identities.

These technology-driven reforms aim to make the registration process more transparent and convenient. Special emphasis is being placed on simplifying property registration procedures for citizens, thereby saving time and reducing unnecessary administrative formalities. Ajit Ram’s Story—Technology Simplifies Land-Related Procedures

Shri Ajit Ram Sahu expressed his satisfaction at the mutation of his property title taking place immediately after registration, sparing him the hassle of making multiple trips to government offices. He conveyed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance & Registration Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary for the improvements made to registration services.

Shri Sahu’s experience demonstrates that the benefits of technological upgrades in the registration system are directly reaching the common citizen. For him, ‘auto-mutation’ has become more than just a technical feature; it represents freedom from long waits, a saving of time, and a convenient way to complete property-related formalities.

Ajit Ram Sahu’s story, which emerged under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Commitment Campaign), exemplifies the transformation taking place in registration services. While previously, a separate official procedure had to be completed for mutation following registration, technology now enables better coordination between the two processes, thereby offering greater convenience to citizens.
