Young Kathak dancer Sharvi Singh Parihar gave a captivating Kathak performance at the fifth cultural evening of the 41st Chakradhar Samaroh 2026. Sharvi began the ceremony with a Shiva Vandana based on Uthan and “Karpurgauram Karunaavataram.” She then presented the classical nuances of Kathak through Thaat, Gadnik, Toda-Tukda, Paran, Ladi, Tihai, and Chakradar Toda. Her performance was well-received by the audience. Sharvi, who has been practicing Kathak since childhood, has been training in the genre for the past 12 years.
She is learning the Kathak tradition of the Lucknow Gharana under the guidance of Guru Tarun Kumar Sharma. Sharvi has showcased her talent on various national and international platforms and has received numerous awards and honors. She has previously performed group and solo Kathak at the Chakradhar Samaroh.
