- Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav released the magazine ‘Prayas’ and the book ‘Tarunya Varta’, also inaugurated the website.
On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh organized a state-level interfaith prayer meeting at Balveer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium, Budhapara, Raipur. Education Minister and President of Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh, Shri Gajendra Yadav, attended the event as the chief guest. Rajya Sabha MP and State Vice President of the organization, Smt. Laxmi Verma, presided over the function.
During the program, Education Minister Shri Yadav released the Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh magazine “Prayas” and the book “Tarunya Varta” (an open discussion on menstruation) prepared by the Bharat Scouts and Guides and UNICEF. He also launched the organization’s new website. Scouts and Guides from various districts were honored on this occasion.
- Let us have love, harmony and respect for each other

Education Minister Shri Yadav said that Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of truth and non-violence, and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s simplicity and dedication, continue to guide us today. The Sarvadharma Prayer Meeting inspires us to respect all faiths and strengthen love and brotherhood in society. He said that children and youth associated with Scouts and Guides can contribute to nation-building by inculcating the spirit of service, discipline, and cooperation in their lives. Our country’s culture is based on “Sarvadharma Samabhaav” (equality of all religions) and the wish for well-being for all. The Sarvadharma Prayer gives us the message that everyone should be happy, everyone should be well, and we should have love, harmony, and respect for each other.
- Scout-Guide gives us the message of discipline

Mr. Yadav said that the purpose of Scout-Guide is not just to read the rules and pledges, but to implement them in our lives. Only when we are disciplined ourselves can we impart the message of discipline to others. Scout-Guide also teaches us to love nature and be friends with animals and birds. Therefore, every Scout and Guide should plant at least one tree in their life and take responsibility for its protection.
Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Lakshmi Verma said that India’s diversity is its strength. Respect for different faiths and traditions is the basis of social harmony and unity. She called on children and youth to adopt the ideals of Gandhiji and Shastriji in their daily lives.

The Sarvadharma prayer meeting commemorated the lives and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, conveying the message of peace, love, brotherhood, and national unity. Mr. Indrajit Singh Khalsa, State Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, called for spreading the message of Sarvadharma Samabhava to everyone.
