- Hands-on exercise for ‘Seva First’ Innovation Challenge
As part of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” an initiative aimed at connecting the state’s youth with self-employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship, the “Seva First National Innovation Challenge” and the District Education, Entrepreneurship, and Startup Development Program were organized at NRM Government Girls College, Dhamtari. Approximately 150 female students participated enthusiastically and actively in this awareness and hands-on program.
During the program, the Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center briefed the students on the basic concepts of a startup, its workings, and Chhattisgarh’s new startup policy. He explained the process of the “Seva First National Innovation Challenge” to the students, encouraging them to identify practical problems they encounter around them and in their daily lives and develop innovative solutions.
In this context, a representative from CGS Network provided guidance to the youth, highlighting the functionality of the “Yuva Dhamtari Portal.” He explained that this portal is a powerful tool for directly connecting the district’s youth with new opportunities for training, internships, skill development, and employment. Students can register based on their interests and needs and avail themselves of various opportunities.
The highlight of the program was the practical session in which the CGS Network and Startup Mentors provided the students with a hands-on exercise on ‘Problem Identification’. Working in teams, the students deliberated in depth on the challenges in their environment, their root causes, and their potential technical and business solutions.
Held in the presence of the college’s Principal and faculty, the event’s primary objective was to develop creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial spirit among the students, enabling them to emerge as entrepreneurs, not just job seekers but also job creators.
