A grand Tiranga Yatra was organised in Bishrampur, Surajpur district, on Thursday under the leadership of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, as part of the state-wide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to mark Independence Day. Nearly 1,000 people enthusiastically participated in this Yatra, organised with the aim of instilling respect for the national flag and a sense of patriotism among the people.
The Tiranga Yatra, which began at the Government Girls High School in Bishrampur, reached Ambedkar Chowk, followed the designated route, and concluded back at the school campus. During the nearly two-kilometer-long journey, school students, citizens, public representatives, and officials and employees, holding the tricolor in their hands, marched forward, chanting patriotic slogans.
During the procession, the entire area was filled with patriotic chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.” The large participation of students and citizens added special excitement and dignity to the event.
Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade said that the national flag is a symbol of the nation’s pride and glory, and it is the responsibility of every citizen to strengthen their commitment to the respect of the tricolor and the unity and integrity of the country. She said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is not just a program, but a massive public movement of respect for the nation and public participation.
Through the Tiranga Yatra, the message of patriotism, national unity, integrity, and respect for the tricolor was effectively disseminated among the citizens. Local public representatives, education department officials, teachers, students, and a large number of citizens were present at the event.
