Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the intention of our government is to bring prosperity to the fields and barns of every farmer of the region. The welfare of the farmers in every way is our goal and we are all doing our best for it. He said that the Balram Agricultural Festival being run in the region is a comprehensive campaign to connect the farmers with the new techniques of agriculture and farming in a scientific manner and connect them to a prosperous future. The government is fully committed to increase the income of farmers and provide them all possible support. He said that the state government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is reaching every farmer with the priority of Kisan welfare schemes in this Kisan Kalyan Varsha. Along with the delivery of water, electricity, fertilizer-seeds, agricultural machinery to the farmers’ fields, the amount of crop insurance, Samman Nidhi and interest-free loans are being delivered to their accounts. Chief Minister Dr. On Friday, Yadav interacted with the farmers of Chhindwara by virtually joining the Balram Agricultural Festival program organized in Sehore district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the recently held Council of Ministers meeting, the state government has approved the historic ‘Kavach Yojana’ giving security to the farmers. This scheme will address the concerns of farmers who were not able to get new loans and benefits of government schemes due to old irregularities in their cooperative accounts and delays in checking. Now by bringing such farmers into the mainstream, they will be given the full benefit of new agricultural loans and all farmer friendly schemes. The Chief Minister said that the state government has now implemented the system of turning over the accounts in one year instead of six months. The obligation of farmers to clear their loan accounts by March 31 has also been abolished. Now the farmer, when there is money, can deposit money in his loan account.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in Kisan Kalyan Varsha, the state government is expanding irrigation facilities along with modern farming, natural farming and agricultural machinery. He encouraged farmers to adopt crop diversification to increase income. He said that animal husbandry, fish farming is the current demand, the state government is giving all possible incentives in these areas. We have formed dairy societies to increase milk production. He said that the government is standing with the farmers from the farm till the price is given in the market. We have cleared the worries of wheat producing farmers by purchasing a record 104 lakh metric tonnes of wheat with MSP and bonus. Concerns of Soybean Farmers about moving away from Bhavantar Payment Scheme. He said that for the first time in the state, Srianna (Kodo-Kutki) has been purchased at MSP and the farmers have also got its bonus. Keeping in view the demand of farmers, the limit of moong procurement from eligible farmers has been increased from 25 percent to 60 percent.
Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma said that Chief Minister Dr. Many decisions are being taken by Yadav in the interest of farmers. Now if any farmer’s land is acquired for road, canal or other government projects, that farmer will get four times compensation. He said that innovative initiatives like revenue campaign and cyber tehsil have been started by the Chief Minister to solve the pending cases of revenue in the state. Under the revenue campaign, more than one crore revenue related cases have been resolved in the state so far.
Member of MP State Backward Classes Welfare Commission Mr. Sitaram Yadav, District President Sehore Smt. Navadi Bai and other public representatives and a large number of farmers were present in the program held in Sehore.
