- The people of the state are getting more than 441 government services on a single online platform, Ms. Santoshi Singh easily got her residence certificate.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Seva Setu portal, which has given new impetus to good governance and digital administration in Chhattisgarh, has become a powerful medium for easy, transparent, and timely access to government services for ordinary citizens. Through this innovative initiative, over 441 government services are now available to citizens on a single digital platform, significantly eliminating the need for frequent visits to government offices.
Citizens across the state are benefiting from the Seva Setu portal. Ms. Santoshi Singh of Balrampur district also found relief through this system. She had applied for a residence certificate. During the initial review, the application was held up due to the lack of necessary land-related documents. The concerned officials guided her on submitting alternative documents. She then submitted proof of residence for 15 years and birth documents. After verification, her residence certificate was issued. Upon receiving the certificate, she expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the district administration, saying that Seva Setu had easily resolved her long-standing problem.
Previously, limited services were available through the e-District portal, but now it has been expanded and upgraded to Seva Setu. Currently, hundreds of services from various departments have been integrated and made available to citizens on a single platform. The entire process, from application to service receipt, is being completed online, transparently, and within the stipulated timeframe.
To effectively operate Seva Setu, Panchayat secretaries, Seva Setu center operators, and officials and employees of related departments are being regularly trained to ensure access to digital services at the Gram Panchayat level and enable maximum citizens to benefit from it.
Through the portal, numerous services are available online, including income, caste, and residence certificates, birth and death certificates, marriage registration, land records services, name corrections, applications for social security schemes, and services from the Labor and Revenue departments. Furthermore, services such as marriage certificates, building permits, street light applications, sanitation complaints, and name changes through gazette notifications are also being made available digitally at the Gram Panchayat level.
The Seva Setu portal is also integrated with WhatsApp, allowing citizens to track their application status from the comfort of their homes. This is greatly benefiting those in rural areas, especially. This is saving both time and money and ensuring access to government services to the last person.
