In the changing technological era, a significant initiative has been launched in the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district to empower women entrepreneurs with modern tools and empower them with self-reliance. A digital literacy workshop held at the Nava Bihan Cluster introduced women to new opportunities in online marketing, brand building, and internet-based business.
The workshop aimed to enhance the market reach of women self-help groups and women-run micro, small, and medium enterprises by educating them on modern marketing techniques. Experts provided participants with practical information on product identity creation, attractive packaging, labeling, quality certification, online sales platforms, and various market access methods.
Vasundhara Yadav stated that women entrepreneurship is not only a means of economic empowerment but also a strong foundation for social change. She encouraged women to maximize their business potential by leveraging technological knowledge. The
workshop shared experiences from successful women entrepreneurs, and participants were guided on strategies for developing customer networks, increasing the use of online channels, and business expansion. Experts also provided information about government assistance, grant schemes, and marketing support programs, which can help women strengthen their enterprises.
Nearly 30 women entrepreneurs and self-help group representatives from various areas of the district described the training as useful and inspiring. Participants believe that such programs will help women expand beyond the local market and reach state and national markets.
