On the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai performed the ritualistic worship of Lord Vishwakarma—the presiding deity of creation, craftsmanship, and construction—at his official residence in Raipur. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Vishwakarma for the state’s happiness, prosperity, and continuous progress. Present on the occasion were the Chief Minister’s Advisor Shri R. Krishna Das, the Chief Minister’s Press Officer Shri Alok Singh, and other officials and staff of the Chief Minister’s residence.
Paying obeisance to Lord Vishwakarma, Chief Minister Shri Sai extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes for Vishwakarma Jayanti to the people of the state, especially the workforce, artisans, craftsmen, engineers, technicians, and all those associated with the industrial and construction sectors.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Lord Vishwakarma is a symbol of creativity, skill, dedication to work, and excellence. Worshipping Him inspires us to contribute to nation-building and societal development through our knowledge, skills, and hard work. Vishwakarma Jayanti is not merely a festival linked to our faith and traditions; it is also an occasion to express gratitude for the dignity of labor, respect for skills, and the power of creation.
The Chief Minister remarked that the workforce, artisans, craftsmen, technicians, and builders play a pivotal role in the progress of any state or nation. From fields and farms to factories, from small establishments to large industries, and from traditional crafts to modern technology—skilled hands shape development through their hard work and talent.
He added that Chhattisgarh has always been known for its hardworking people and its rich tradition of craftsmanship. For generations, our craftspeople and artisans have preserved the state’s cultural heritage through their skills. Meanwhile, today’s workers, engineers, and youth in the technical sector are playing a pivotal role in building a modern Chhattisgarh. This synergy between traditional skills and modern technology holds the potential to steer the state’s development in a new direction.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that labor is not merely a means of livelihood but a force for creation and nation-building. It is our social responsibility to honor the hard work of every laborer and the craftsmanship of every artisan. The millions of hands involved in labor, craftsmanship, and construction in Chhattisgarh are continuously driving the state’s progress through their hard work. Their labor and skills form the strong foundation for building a prosperous and developed Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister remarked that Vishwakarma Jayanti conveys the message that we should perform every task with utmost sincerity, discipline, dedication, and excellence.
