- Reviewed various subjects of Public Health and Medical Education Department
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla reviewed various matters of the Public Health and Medical Education Department at the Secretariat. He directed the departmental officers to ensure timely resolution of pending proposals and to take action on administrative and technical matters on priority through inter-departmental coordination. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed to complete the process related to creation of new posts as per requirement in 27 district hospitals within the time limit. He said that to ensure availability of human resources as per the health services and requirements available in the district hospitals, proposals related to creation of posts should be prepared on time and necessary approvals should be obtained.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla also reviewed proposals related to the creation of approximately 3,000 new nursing positions in medical colleges. He said that the availability of necessary human resources is crucial to the expansion of medical education, treatment, and specialized health services in medical colleges. To this end, the process related to the creation of these positions should be prioritized.
- Review of expansion of cancer treatment facilities in five medical colleges
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla also reviewed the development of facilities related to PET scan, cancer diagnosis and treatment in five medical colleges of the state. He directed to expedite the process related to approval of Oncosurgery and Medical Oncology departments in these institutions, so that comprehensive facilities for diagnosis and treatment can be made available to cancer patients at the medical college level. He said that the expansion of modern diagnostic and specialized medical services for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer is a priority of the state government. By ensuring the availability of specialized departments along with the development of PET scan, LINAC and other necessary facilities, patients will receive better treatment services and their need to travel to other places for treatment will be reduced.
- Instructions to complete the establishment of CTVS department in Gwalior soon
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla also reviewed the work related to the establishment of the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) at Medical College, Gwalior. He directed that the necessary procedures related to the establishment of the department be completed expeditiously, so that patients in Gwalior and surrounding areas can access specialized services in complex heart and vascular surgeries. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla said that proposals related to important matters related to the department should not be unnecessarily delayed. Proposals should be prepared in a timely manner and submitted for necessary approvals. He stressed the need for effective coordination between the concerned departments in resolving administrative and technical issues. He said that wherever inter-departmental coordination is required in the expansion of health services and medical education, coordination with the concerned departments should be ensured to ensure that the issues are resolved on a priority basis.
- Complete the process related to recognition of paramedical colleges on priority.
While reviewing the proceedings related to the recognition of paramedical colleges in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed the officials to give top priority to the student’s interest and ensure timely resolution of recognition related cases. He said that necessary action should be completed by examining the related cases on priority so that the studies and future of the students are not affected due to unnecessary delay in the recognition process. Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Shri Sukhveer Singh, Commissioner Shri Dhanraju S and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
