The 25th installment has been released so far under the government’s ambitious Mahatari Vandan Yojana. An amount of ₹19.22 crore has been transferred to the accounts of over 2,09,600 women in Mungeli district. This scheme is not limited to financial assistance, but is an important social initiative that advances the state’s mothers, sisters, and daughters towards respect, self-reliance, and empowerment. In this context, Binda Bai Ghritalhare of Pipalod village, Patharia development block, is using the monthly assistance received under the scheme for her daughters’ education and essential educational expenses.
Binda Bai explained that she comes from a poor family and supports her family by working as a laborer. Meeting her family’s needs was a challenge due to her limited income, and ensuring her daughters’ education became her biggest concern. Meanwhile, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, launched by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, brought a new ray of hope to her. This financial support has given her the confidence to provide a better education to her daughters. Now, her daughters are also being inspired to pursue their dreams. Binda Bai thanked the Chief Minister and the government and administration for implementing this scheme to promote women’s empowerment.
