The successful implementation of Har Ghar Jal in the village panchayat of Chibarra, Pithora Block, Mahasamund district, has brought prosperity to the lives of the villagers. On December 30, 2025, Chibarra village achieved this milestone by completing the Har Ghar Jal certification. By providing tap connections to a total of 278 households in the village, the goal of providing clean drinking water to every household was successfully achieved. This goal is not limited to households; tap connections have also been provided to all public institutions, such as the village health center, school, and Anganwadi, providing access to clean water to the entire village. This achievement is due to the leadership of the village panchayat and the active participation of the villagers. Under the guidance of Sarpanch, Mrs. Nandani Diwan, and Panchayat Secretary, Mr. Lokesh Patel, the Jal Jeevan Mission was effectively implemented.
For the successful operation and long-term maintenance of the scheme, a Village Water and Sanitation Committee has been formed at the village level.

The committee maintains a bank account with Bank of Baroda, Pithora, from which ₹60 per month is collected as water tax from each household. This system is playing a key role in ensuring the sustainability and continuity of the scheme. The total project cost was ₹113.30 lakh, which included the construction of a high-level water tank with a capacity of 60 kilolitres and the laying of approximately 1520 metres of pipeline to develop a robust water distribution system.
Sukriti, a beneficiary of this scheme, says that she no longer has to travel far for clean water, which has not only saved time but also improved her health.
