Towards realizing the concept of good governance at the grassroots level in Chhattisgarh, the state-wide launch of Good Governance Festival 2026 began today, May 1. This campaign, which will be run from May 1 to June 10 under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, is an important initiative to bridge the gap between the government and the public and ensure transparent, prompt and sensitive administration.

On the first day of the campaign, public problem-resolution camps were organized in various districts of the state, where ministers, public representatives, and administrative officials personally attended to listen to the problems of ordinary citizens. This initiative is truly an effective means of fulfilling the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to extend the benefits of government schemes and programs to the last person in the state.A large crowd gathered at the camp held in Risda village of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. Approximately 47 percent of the 573 applications received were resolved on the spot. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma directed officials to ensure that each application was resolved within the time limit and that satisfaction feedback was also collected from applicants.

At a camp held in Dhanras village, under the Katghora development block of Korba district, 332 applications were received, of which 103 were resolved immediately. Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan said that this campaign is becoming a powerful means of reaching government schemes to the last person. In the same sequence, at a camp held in village Kathiya of Abhanpur development block in Raipur district, in the presence of Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb, many beneficiaries benefited from various government schemes. MNREGA job cards were provided to women. A motorized tricycle was provided to disabled beneficiary Shri Yogesh Yadav. The joy on the faces of the beneficiaries at the camp was palpable.

Stalls were set up by various departments at the camps, serving as one-stop solution centers, where people were provided with on-the-spot benefits under various schemes, including Ayushman cards, ration cards, KCC loans, Ujjwala Yojana, agricultural equipment, and fisheries supplies. The availability of facilities like digital X-rays by the Health Department provided immediate relief to villagers.

Through Good Governance Festival, not only are complaints being resolved, but effective efforts are also being made to make ordinary citizens self-reliant by making them aware of government schemes. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai himself is continuously monitoring this campaign and will also review ground implementation through surprise inspections.
