Kritika Tekam, a resident of Kanker, Chhattisgarh, has achieved a significant milestone by securing first place in the CBSE 10th Board Examination. The promising student, Kritika, has brought laurels to Chhattisgarh by scoring the highest marks among the approximately 750 Eklavya Model Residential Schools operating across the country. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated Kritika and wished her a bright future. Congratulating Kritika Tekam, a promising student from Kanker, for securing first place among Eklavya Schools across the country in the CBSE 10th Board Examination, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that this achievement is not only a result of Kritika’s hard work and talent, but also a testament to the continuous efforts being made in Chhattisgarh to provide quality education and the overall development of tribal students. He said that through Eklavya Model Residential Schools, talented students of the state are getting better opportunities, enabling them to make their mark at the national level.
The Chief Minister congratulated all the successful students, wished them a bright future, and stated that the state government will continue to encourage excellence in education. Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam heartily congratulated Kanker student Kritika Tekam on securing first place in the CBSE 10th Board Examination among Eklavya Adarsh Residential Schools across the country. He said this achievement is a shining example of the talent, hard work, and dedication of the tribal students of the state . He added that through Eklavya Adarsh Residential Schools, students from tribal areas are receiving quality education, better resources, and a conducive environment, resulting in their outstanding performance at the national level . Wishing all the students a bright future, Minister Shri Netam stated that the state government is committed to the educational , intellectual, and all-round development of tribal students .
It is noteworthy that the CBSE recently announced the results of the 10th board examination for the academic year 2025-26, in which Ms. Kritika Tekam, a student from Chhattisgarh, secured first place among Eklavya schools across the country . Mr. Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Development Department, stated that Kritika Tekam was studying at the Eklavya Adarsh Residential School in Kanker district . She has made the state and the Tribal Development Department proud by securing first place in the country by scoring 97 percent marks among the approximately 750 Eklavya Adarsh Residential Schools operating across the country. Other students have also achieved good exam results. Of the 75 Eklavya schools operating in the state, 71 are high school-level schools.
Of these, 11 Eklavya schools achieved 100% exam results. It is noteworthy that in the 75 Eklavya Model Residential Schools operating in the state, students from the Scheduled Tribe category are provided with high-quality education, along with special attention to their mental and physical health. As a result, in the fourth Eklavya Schools National Sports Competition in the 2025-26 academic session, the team from the state’s Eklavya Model Residential Schools performed exceptionally well, securing second place in the country. Commissioner Dr. Saransh Mittal stated that in the Model Youth Gram Sabha Competition organized by the Government of India, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, New Delhi, Eklavya Model Residential School, Kosambudha, District-Gariaband, was selected as the national winner from 800 schools operating in the country. These selected students from Gariaband were honored at the national level on January 28, 2026, for their outstanding performance. The school was also awarded a gift of ₹1 crore.
