- Now, loans, fertilizers and seeds will be available from the cooperative society, making farming more profitable.
The Good Governance Festival, organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, is proving to be an effective means of relief and empowerment for farmers. Under this government initiative, farmers’ problems are being resolved promptly in village-to-village resolution camps, and they are being directly provided with the benefits of various agricultural schemes.
Shri Nirmal Ram, a farmer from Latori village in Surguja district, received the benefit of a Kisan Credit Card (KCC) during Good Governance Festival. With the KCC, he has now become more easily accessible to financial assistance, fertilizers, and seeds for farming.
Nirmal Ram explained that without a Kisan Credit Card, he faced financial difficulties during farming. Due to a lack of capital, he had to purchase fertilizers and seeds at higher prices from private stores, increasing the cost of farming.
After applying at the camp organized under Good Governance Festival, his Kisan Credit Card was immediately issued. Now, he will be able to obtain agricultural loans through the cooperative society, and fertilizers and seeds will also be readily available at reasonable prices. This will reduce farming costs and help increase production.
Farmer Nirmal Ram, expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, said that through Good Governance Festival, farmers’ problems are being resolved in the villages itself. Getting a Kisan Credit Card will greatly facilitate them in gathering the necessary resources for farming and will also reduce financial worries.
It is noteworthy that in the resolution camps organized across the state under Good Governance Festival, issues related to Kisan Credit Card, Soil Health Card, Ration Card, Ayushman Card, Pension and other public welfare schemes are being resolved quickly. Due to this, farmers and villagers are getting the benefits of government schemes on time and they are moving towards self-reliance.
