Minister Shri Netam visited the Agricultural College Kurud, took stock of the modern teaching and research facilities.

During his visit to Bastar today, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam visited the Agricultural College and Research Center, Kurud, and inspected the college’s academic activities, research work, and the facilities being provided to students. Describing modern agricultural education and research as a strong foundation for the state’s agricultural development, he encouraged students to move forward in the direction of innovation and technology-based agriculture.

  Upon arrival at the college, Dean Dr. Navneet Rana welcomed Minister Netam and provided detailed information about various academic and research activities. Minister Netam inspected the college’s modern laboratories, smart classrooms, digital library, and competitive forum. He interacted with students to learn about the facilities available in the college and hostel. Students reported that they had access to the necessary facilities for study and accommodation.

    During his visit, Minister Netam observed the agricultural models, exhibits, and mushroom processed products prepared by the students at the Agricultural Museum. He commended the students’ innovative thinking and the modern facilities available at the college, saying such efforts would pave the way for new possibilities in the agricultural sector.

    On this occasion, Agriculture Production Commissioner Shri Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi reviewed the academic activities of the college and discussed in detail with the students about the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the agriculture sector and the innovations made in the agriculture graduate course under the National Education Policy.

    Dhamtari Collector Mr. Avinash Mishra, Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Kurud, college professors, officers, employees and a large number of students were present in the tour program.
