504 crore budget proposal passed by MP Agro

  • 203rd meeting of MP Agro Board of Directors held

The M.P. 504 crore will be spent by the State Agro Industries Development Corporation on various development activities of the Corporation in the year 2026-27. The proposal to this effect was passed in the 203rd meeting of the Board of Directors at MP Agro office auditorium under the chairmanship of Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Minister of Horticulture and Food Processing and Chairman of the Corporation.

Minister Shri Kushwaha said that the Corporation is continuously working to promote innovation and technological upgradation in the agricultural sector by ensuring availability of modern agricultural techniques, quality agricultural machinery and irrigation facilities to the farmers. He directed the officials to ensure timely and quality implementation of the approved development schemes, so that the farmers can get the maximum benefits of the schemes. He said that the role of the corporation is very important to make agriculture profitable and sustainable in the region and all development work should be conducted effectively keeping in mind the needs of the farmers.

Managing Director Agro Mr. Arvind Dubey said that the corporation has earned more gross profit this year than last financial year. He said that the corporation has set a target of preparing 2 lakh liters of bio-fertilizer in 2026. The meeting also passed a proposal to give way from Babai (Narmadapuram) agricultural farm to industrial area and to get back the land on which fruit trees were planted. Along with this, it was also decided to increase the service of the contract workers and hold the upcoming general meeting on 10th August 2026.

Member of Board of Directors Ms. Simmi Gurjar, Secretary Horticulture and Food Processing Mr. John Kingsley, Commissioner Horticulture Mr. Sourav Kumar Suman and other members were present in the meeting.
