Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the work of expansion of railway facilities in view of upcoming Simhastha: 2028 is going on continuously. The country is changing under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. New records are being set in every department. Bhopal has got its fourth railway station in the form of Nishatpura. In the last 12 years, railways have developed “neither past nor future”. Development works are going on at a fast pace in Indian Railways. With the launch of this Nishatpura station, trains going from New Delhi to Ujjain-Indore will no longer need to change tracks and engines. Passengers have got a new gift with the stoppage of 2 trains at Nishatpura railway station. The Nishatpura stop trains are symbols of Shiva and Shakti. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on Tuesday 2 trains at the newly developed Nishatpura railway station of Bhopal – Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Shrimata Vaishnodevi Katra Malwa Express and Veraval-Jabalpur Express trains were addressing the inauguration program at Nishatpur station. He flagged off the Malwa Express.
- Now there will be time to travel from New Delhi to Ujjain-Indore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through Indian Railways, there are continuous offers regarding Ujjain Simhastha: 2028. Simhastha: An estimated 40 crore devotees will come to Madhya Pradesh in 2028. In such a way, new railway stations will play an important role in reducing the pressure of the rush of passengers. Nishatpura station developed at a cost of 14 crores in Nishatpura area will open new doors of possibilities for the citizens. Many new facilities are being made available here. Time will be saved for traveling from New Delhi to Ujjain-Indore. Direct train will be available without going to Bhopal main station. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that when a railway line comes in an area, it provides facilities for trade, agriculture and freight etc along with passenger facilities. Prime Minister Shri Modi and Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav are fully cooperating for expansion of railway facilities in Madhya Pradesh.
- Government of India has increased the railway budget by 24 times for Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Indian Railways is taking important steps to increase ease of doing business and employment. The network of Indian Railways is so big that people equal to the total population of many countries are traveling in our trains. There are 70 Divisional Headquarters of Railways in the country. 100 percent electrification of railway tracks in Madhya Pradesh has been completed. Indian Railways has introduced modern trains like Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat Express. Now modern coaches of trains near Bhopal will be prepared. Madhya Pradesh is changing along with the country. From the year 2009 to 2014, the railway budget in Madhya Pradesh was only Rs 632 crore, which has now increased to Rs 15 thousand 288 crore by the year 2026-27. Government of India has increased the railway budget for the region by 24 times. At present, new works of railways costing 1 lakh 18 thousand crores are going on in Madhya Pradesh. After the year 2014, 2800 kilometers of new railway lines have been constructed in the region, which is more than the total border of Denmark.
- A 34 km railway trek is being laid every day
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the country, only 4 kilometers of railway tracks were being prepared in one day, but during the tenure of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the speed of track laying is 34 kilometers per day. Bhopal now has Rani Kamalapati station, Bhopal main station, Sant Hirdaram station and now Nishatpura station. Madhya Pradesh has been gifted with 13 new Amrit stations. Third and fourth rail lines are in progress on Vadodara-Ratlam and Itarsi-Bhopal-Bina route. Earlier there were meter gauge lines, which gradually became broad gauge and broad gauge double lines. Now triple and four lines are being developed.

- Railway facilities increased in Madhya Pradesh
Mr. Dilip Kumar Singh, General Manager, West Central Railway said that West Central Railway is committed to infrastructure development to provide safe and smooth journey to its passengers. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, development of railway lines, operation of modern trains, improvement in safety and security are providing new dimensions to rail travel. The restoration work of 13 Amrit stations in the state has not been completed. Escalators and FOBs are provided for passengers at stations. The stoppage of two new trains at Nishatpura station built near Bhopal station will relieve the passengers from the congestion of Bhopal station. West Central Railway is committed to making Nishanpura station more convenient for passengers.
