Chhattisgarh has achieved another significant milestone in the decentralization of healthcare facilities and the strengthening of district hospitals with modern medical services. Surajpur District Hospital has successfully performed six Total Hip Replacement (THR) operations, demonstrating that state-of-the-art services like complex orthopedic surgeries are now available at the district level.
This achievement will bring relief not only to patients in Surajpur but also to patients from surrounding districts. They will no longer have to travel to Raipur or other major cities for expensive treatment. This will save patients time, money, and unnecessary hassle.
Under the leadership of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kapil Dev Paikra and Civil Surgeon Dr. Ajay Markam, orthopedic surgeons Dr. Ajay Sahu and Dr. Aman Gupta successfully performed these complex surgeries. Anesthesiologists Dr. Vikas Bhagat and Dr. Anil Kumar also played a key role in ensuring the success of the operations.
The entire nursing and operation theater team also contributed significantly to this achievement. Due to dedicated teamwork and modern medical facilities, all the operations were successful.
All patients are healthy post-operatively and are recovering rapidly under medical supervision.
