The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign is being organized at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai from September 17 to October 17, 2026, as part of the Government of India’s cleanliness drive. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Participation in Cleanliness; Clean India, Developed India,” aiming to foster a spirit of public participation and collective responsibility towards cleanliness.
In this context, a cleanliness pledge was administered on September 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the LDC Level-2 of IIT Bhilai, involving students, faculty members, officers, staff, and other members of the institute. All participants present on the occasion pledged to make cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives and to contribute actively towards creating a clean and healthy campus.
Through the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, IIT Bhilai is organizing various activities to promote awareness regarding cleanliness, a clean campus, environmental conservation, and community participation. The campaign will conclude on October 2, 2026, on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas. The successful organization of this campaign was carried out under the overall guidance of the Institute’s Director, Professor Rajiv Prakash.
