Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that development is a gradual process. Our primary goal is to expand production activities and increase exports by establishing more industrial units in the state. We are rapidly progressing toward the state’s industrial development goals by promoting industries. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor is a new chapter in the state’s progress. This corridor will truly prove to be a milestone in the creation of a new Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that the farmers of Malwa always perform wonders. The cooperation and dedication of the farmers, especially those from the Malwa region, in the state’s development is exemplary.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, a crucial project for the Indore-Ujjain Metropolitan Area, being developed at a cost of ₹2,360 crore in Nainod village in Indore district on Sunday. He said that this economic corridor is a gateway to new possibilities, new dreams, and new opportunities here.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that this corridor will provide new impetus to the development of the entire Malwa region, including the Indore-Pithampur industrial area. It will also play a vital role in the overall development of the Indore-Ujjain metropolitan area. He added that the construction of this corridor will provide industries with improved connectivity, logistics, and infrastructure, thereby reducing production costs.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the first phase of this economic corridor will strengthen road, transportation, and industrial infrastructure. This corridor will create new employment opportunities, benefit local youth, and strengthen the economy. This corridor will make Madhya Pradesh an attractive destination for national and international investment. With improved connectivity and modern infrastructure, the region will soon establish itself as a major industrial hub in the country.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that this corridor project, being developed at a cost of approximately ₹2,360 crore, will establish the state as a new hub of investment, industry, and employment. This approximately 20-kilometer-long corridor will establish seamless connectivity between Indore’s commercial potential and Pithampur’s industrial strength. This will reduce logistics costs and accelerate market access. This project will create over 500,000 direct and 100,000 indirect jobs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that keeping farmers’ interests at the heart of this Economic Corridor project, a historic decision has been made to return 60 percent of developed land. This is now empowering them to participate in the development process.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that if today our Madhya Pradesh is shining with the light of industries, then farmers have a big role in it. They gave their ancestral lands to the government. We listened to the farmers. Got their support and also made them partners in the construction of this corridor. The Chief Minister told that in the construction of this corridor, developed plots worth about 650 crore rupees were given to the farmers. With this, they also became partners in this great yagya of development. The Chief Minister said that this is the government of the farmers. We will not let the farmers face any hardship. Now we will give four times the compensation to the farmers.

The Chief Minister stated that we will purchase every grain of wheat produced by farmers. This procurement season, 100 lakh metric tons of wheat will be purchased. Regarding the supply of electricity to farmers for irrigation, the Chief Minister said, “We are making arrangements to provide farmers with electricity during the day. This will save them from having to stay awake in the fields.” Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the Simhastha to be held in 2028 will break all previous Simhastha records. We are making all necessary arrangements. The roads being built in the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor will also facilitate the movement of devotees and other arrangements during Simhastha. He stated that this is a corridor that will benefit everyone, including farmers, villagers, youth, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and logistics service providers. This corridor will set a new record for the region’s development.

During the program, the local farmers, villagers and sarpanches gave a warm welcome to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by wearing a turban and garlanding him with a huge elephant garland for the state government’s historic decision to return 60 percent of the developed land to the farmers and to give four times the compensation to the farmers. The farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting him a picture of Lord Balram, the God of Agriculture, and a sacred plough. On this occasion, the local farmers presented their consent letter to the Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, in front of the Chief Minister, for giving land in this corridor. During this, the farmers were also given allotment letters for the developed plots in the corridor.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that work is progressing rapidly on six Greenfield Expressway projects totaling 1,700 km in the state. Six major expressways, progress paths, and 48 new industrial parks, totaling 3,368 km, are also being developed in the state. He stated that the total network of national highways in the country has exceeded 146,200 km. Today, we have the second largest road network in the world. Madhya Pradesh is not far behind in this regard. New highways are being approved daily in the state. He stated that five Greenfield corridors are being constructed in the state. Six major expressways and progress paths are being developed in Madhya Pradesh in the coming three years, including the Narmada Progress Path, Vindhya Expressway, Malwa-Nimar Vikas Path, Atal Pragati Path, Bundelkhand Vikas Path, and Madhya Bharat Vikas Path.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya stated that the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor project will be among the best in the country. This project, taking shape thanks to the special efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, will become a strong foundation for the state’s development. This corridor will give the state’s development a new direction and become an important center for industrial expansion. The government has always prioritized the interests of farmers for industrialization. Farmers are being compensated appropriately to their satisfaction. He stated that farmers are the nation’s food providers and should receive compensation for their land that allows them to access better options. Under this scheme, the benefiting farmers have received so much benefit that they have become economically empowered.
Minister Shri Vijayvargiya stated that this corridor will not only spur industrial development but also provide employment opportunities for millions of youth. Green industry will also expand along with the IT sector. The corridor will extend to Pithampur, giving shape to a new, developed Indore. This corridor will provide improved connectivity to Gujarat and Mumbai, giving new impetus to trade and transportation. He commended and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, administrative officials, and public representatives involved in the project.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat stated that this project is an important step towards realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He added that under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state is rapidly progressing towards development. This economic corridor connecting Indore and Pithampur is not just a project, but a strong commitment to development, progress, and prosperity. He explained that last year, on Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s initiative, was celebrated as the Year of Industry. The primary objective of this year was to create new employment opportunities. Industrial progress creates widespread employment. He stated that Madhya Pradesh’s development journey has been agriculture-based, and the government is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of development reach farmers, youth, and the last person in society. This effort is crucial in fulfilling the country’s commitment to overall development. Referring to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s decisions in the interest of farmers, Minister Shri Silawat said that increasing the compensation amount from two to four times is an important step that will directly benefit farmers. He said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is always dedicated to solving the problems of farmers and food providers.
MP Shri Shankar Lalwani stated that this project will prove to be a major growth center, boosting the GDP of Indore and Madhya Pradesh. He praised the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, calling it a prime example of management and vision. MLA Shri Madhu Verma stated that this project is a prime example of public participation. This is a remarkable and unique project, in which farmers have voluntarily volunteered their land. He added that this project has benefited farmers with a 60 percent return on their land. Perhaps there is no such example anywhere else in the country.

Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Shri Raghavendra Singh, stated that the Ujjain-Indore Metropolitan Region, developed under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, is a visionary model for the state’s industrial development. Under this initiative, the first phase of the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor is being launched. This corridor will connect Indore, Pithampur, and Ujjain, connecting them to the Super Corridor and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, creating a robust economic corridor spanning over 100 kilometers. An investment of approximately ₹2,365 crore is proposed for the project, with approximately 20 kilometers of road being constructed in the first phase. Industrial, commercial, and social infrastructure, including data centers, global capability centers, green and non-polluting industries, and knowledge-based sectors, will be developed on approximately 1,156 hectares. Modern facilities include high-quality roads, water supply, approximately 250 MW of energy capacity, and railway and national highway connectivity. This project has the potential to generate investments of approximately ₹1 lakh crore and direct and indirect employment opportunities for approximately 600,000 people. The decision to compensate farmers four times the guideline value for land acquisition strengthens development and social balance.
Principal Secretary Mr. Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in the country in job creation. Projects like the PM Mitra Park will benefit from investments of over 20,000 crore rupees, the participation of 32 companies, over 300,000 jobs, and 500,000 farmers. Major companies have come forward to invest in the atomic energy sector in Chutka, Mandla, and in renewable energy in Mohda Babli Narmadapuram. With large investments and industrial expansion in various sectors, the state is rapidly emerging as a major industrial hub.
