An important meeting was held to educate and train new beneficiaries under the Chhattisgarh Homestay Policy 2025-30. The meeting was organized by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board’s Tourism Information Center, Jagdalpur, in collaboration with the Bastar District Panchayat, and was attended by a large number of interested beneficiaries.

           The main objective of this meeting was to familiarize new beneficiaries with the intricacies of the homestay business, encourage them to pursue tourism-based self-employment, and raise awareness about the effective implementation of the Chhattisgarh Homestay Policy 2025-30. This commendable initiative is expected to promote community tourism in Bastar, increase local income, and create new employment opportunities. During the
“Discussion on the Development of Tourist Destinations,”

detailed information was gathered from the beneficiaries regarding their proposed homestays. Officials specifically sought to determine the location of the homestay and the surrounding tourist destinations and attractions. According to officials, developing homestays in areas rich in local natural, cultural, and historical heritage will provide a new impetus to tourism activities, increasing local employment opportunities.
“Information on Successful Operations and Policy Regulations”:
        On this occasion, beneficiaries were briefed on various aspects of successful homestay operations. They were given detailed information on key topics. Guests were briefed on the aspects of welcoming and hospitality management, strict adherence to cleanliness and quality standards, essential amenities and marketing, and digital promotion methods. They were briefed on the provisions of the Chhattisgarh Homestay Policy 2025-30, eligibility criteria, and application process. Officials from Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank, present at

meeting, provided information on the financial assistance available under the scheme. They explained the loan facility, interest subsidy, and banking procedures to the beneficiaries in detail and assured them that with government support and banking assistance, interested beneficiaries can successfully establish their homestay businesses. Mr. Tapan Dey, Assistant Project Officer, District Panchayat, Bastar, who was present as a special guest at the
“Immense Potential for Community Tourism in Bastar,”
         guided the beneficiaries. He stated that Bastar’s natural beauty, rich tribal culture, and diverse tourist destinations offer immense potential for homestay businesses. He motivated all the stakeholders to provide high quality services to the tourists and give them a better experience.
