Renowned producer-director and actor Padmashree Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence office in the capital, Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai warmly welcomed Dr. Dwivedi by presenting him a shawl and a memento. During the meeting, the two had a cordial discussion on various topics, including Indian history, culture, literature, and cinema.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Indian cinema and television have played a vital role in bringing our historical and cultural heritage to the new generation. Through his works, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi has effectively brought Indian history, culture, and literature to the masses. His work in bringing historical and literary subjects to the screen with thorough research, sensitivity, and powerful presentation is remarkable.

Referring to Doordarshan’s popular serial “Chanakya,” Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dr. Dwivedi’s effective presentation of Acharya Chanakya’s personality, his national consciousness, and political philosophy left an indelible impression on viewers across the country. He added that such works, rooted in history and culture, serve as an important medium for introducing the new generation to our civilization, heritage, and national values.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for his warm welcome. During the discussion, Chhattisgarh’s rich tribal culture, folk traditions, literature, and historical heritage were mentioned. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Chhattisgarh’s cultural diversity and tribal traditions are the state’s unique identity. The state’s folk art, folk literature, and glorious heritage hold immense potential for creativity.

On this occasion, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Mr. Pankaj Jha, President of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy Mr. Shashank Sharma, State Women Commission members Mrs. Priyamvada Singh Judev and Mr. Prabal Pratap Singh Judev were present.
