The tricolor is a symbol of our unity and integrity – Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma

  • Contribute to making India a developed nation by 2047
  • On the auspicious occasion of 15th August, the Revenue Minister appealed to the citizens to hoist the tricolour in every house and protect the honour of the national flag.

Addressing a solemn ceremony held in Tilda, Raipur district, on the eve of Independence Day, Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma spoke passionately about the glory of the national flag, the tricolor, and the country’s glorious history. He said that the green color of our tricolor symbolizes the nation’s peace, happiness, and prosperity, while the Ashoka Chakra in its center gives us the message to continue moving forward on the path of progress without stopping. This flag is a unique symbol of our unity and integrity, for whose honor millions of brave sons of the country have happily sacrificed their lives. 

  • “Fly the tricolor with self-respect, maintain the dignity of the flag.”

         Appealing to the gathering and the people of the state, Revenue Minister Mr. Verma said that all citizens must hoist the tricolor with full self-respect in their homes on the auspicious occasion of August 15th. He also placed special emphasis on maintaining the flag’s dignity, saying, “After the festival, the national flag’s respect must be protected under all circumstances. It is our utmost moral duty to ensure that the tricolor is not seen lying on the road, street, or any inappropriate place.”

  • ‘Resolve to make India a developed country by 2047’

While outlining the golden future of the country, Shri Verma said that together we will realise the visionary vision laid down by the successful Prime Minister to make India a world leader again and establish it as a strong, capable and developed nation by the year 2047.

      Municipal Council President Mrs. Chandrakala Verma, Vice President Mr. Palak Sukhmani, former President Mr. Mahesh Agarwal, District Panchayat members, along with area public representatives, dignitaries, youth, and school teachers were present on this occasion. The program concluded with patriotic slogans and a pledge to build the nation.
